2026 Tuscaloosa Oktoberfest Volunteer Waiver and Release of Liability
Thank you for volunteering for the 2026 Tuscaloosa Oktoberfest! Your time, energy, and support are greatly appreciated. In order to participate as a volunteer, we require that you read, understand, and sign the following waiver and release of liability:
1. Acknowledgment of Risk:
I acknowledge that by volunteering at the 2026 Tuscaloosa Oktoberfest (the “Event”), I may be exposed to certain risks, including but not limited to: physical injury, illness, property damage, inclement weather, and other unforeseen circumstances. I understand that I am voluntarily participating and assume full responsibility for any risks of injury or loss.
2. Release of Liability:
I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, personal representatives, and assigns, hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless the Tuscaloosa Oktoberfest organizers, Visit Tuscaloosa, City of Tuscaloosa, event sponsors, partners, vendors, and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, and volunteers from any and all claims, demands, losses, liabilities, or damages arising out of or related to my participation in the Event.
3. Medical Treatment:
I authorize the Event organizers to provide or arrange for medical treatment as deemed necessary in the event of injury or illness during my participation. I understand I am solely responsible for all costs related to such treatment.
4. Conduct and Safety:
I agree to comply with all rules, regulations, and instructions provided by the Event organizers. I understand that failure to do so may result in my removal from the Event and forfeiture of volunteer privileges.
5. Use of Likeness:
I grant permission to the Event organizers to use my name, likeness, image, voice, and/or appearance in any photographs, video recordings, or publications related to the Event for promotional or marketing purposes, without compensation.
6. COVID-19 and Public Health:
I understand that participation in public events carries a risk of exposure to infectious diseases, including but not limited to COVID-19. I agree to follow all health and safety guidelines in place at the time of the Event, and I assume all risks associated with exposure.
7. Age Requirement:
Volunteers under the age of 18 must have this waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.
By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read and fully understand this waiver and release, and I agree to its terms voluntarily.
